Red Mesa, c. 1950

Price: $3,800.00

This Navajo rug measures 57" x 91", natural hand-spun yarn, natural white and grays, all other colors hand-dyed, excellent condition, c. 1950, artist unknown.

This rug is from the Red Mesa region of northeastern Arizona. The Red Mesa style features stacked, serrated diamonds with half diamonds near the border. This rug is particularly dynamic and would make a spectacular statement on a floor or wall.

This rug was honored in "Jewels of the Navajo Loom." Ruth Belikove exhibited her collection of Teec Nos Pos rugs at the Museum of Indian Art and Culture in Santa Fe, NM in 2003.
