c. 1910's Red Mesa
This Red Mesa rug measures 49" x 74", hand-spun yarn, hand-dyed red, yellow and copper, all other colors are natural wool, excellent condition, c. 1910's, artist unknown.
The weaver used Merino wool for this rug and it has an exceptionally fine feel, like a blanket. This wool helps date the piece because Merino wool was common in this time frame.
