This Cochiti storage jar is 9" x 12", c. 1880's, excellent condition.
This simple water storage vessel is divided into panels with abstracted floral designs around the body and early abstract designs on the shoulders and neck.
It was used as a water storge jar in Cochiti Pueblo in the 1880's and thus has a different value than a piece made for trade. It has a strong Native soul.
