Master Weaver Helen Manygoats
This weaving is a 3 column which had fallen from fashion by the 1960's when it was woven. Perhaps that helps explain why the design echos the earlier, more aboriginal elegance. The wool is wonderfully prepared and the colors are simply luscious. The center design element is the same as one frequently used by Master Weaver Ramona Curley. Artistically, I find it stunning.
